Saving disk space for projects sharing the same meshes

Hello support team,

 

we are having some big projects that are sharing the same mesh or meshes in the case of stage projects.

Is there any software option so that several projects share the same mesh (something like a "shortcut" to a mesh file)?

The idea behind is clearly to save some space on our HDDs.

You cut save meshes as .G3D 

G3D files are half of the size of STL's files but you can only use this format with GOM.
