Question regarding Viscan - error.

Recommended Posts

First check the three possible causes mentioned:

  • In Extras/Settings/Environment the image input device must be checked and the correct device type (camera) has to be selected
  • For certain cameras you need extra drivers. When I last had problems some years ago, it was the ViScan drivers and - depending on the camera - the DALSA drivers (all come with the Calypso installation package). Support told me that our GigE camera doesn't need the DALSA drivers. But all of this is potentially outdated, so better check back with support if you think something might be missing
  • Check for poorly seated imaging interface card(s) in the PC or loose cables
  • If all of this is in vain, consider a faulty camera resp. ViScan head..
