[Li...]
So over the weekend my companies IT department changed up all file locations and names of paths for our network. And of course the AutoRuns don't work. They are trying to populate programs from a location that no longer exists. Is there some way to edit or change where the AutoRun file looks for programs? One of the CMM's goes into populating programs with out selecting a file. As soon as I click Autorun under "Plan" it starts. Other CMM's I have to open the folder and select the .arn file. How can I make this one CMM stop populating after clicking Autorun? Most importantly, can I change the file path to which the autorun looks for its programs for populating!!!! These CMM's have years of programs on them. My guess is that in at least two different manufacturing cells we have 100+ programs.
[Mi...]
Yes there is a replace paths option in autorun, Edit > Replace paths for measurement plans, it's a bit unintuitive but it does work well enough for mass editing However a warning, if you use any case specific PCM code that looks at the program paths it's not going to work now because the replace paths changes the case... For example C:\Program Files\ZEISS becomes: c:\program piles\zeiss Calypso and Windows don't care, but code does.
[Li...]
Where do you do this replace paths at? This would be a mass change. I dont think I do any PCM code for autorun.

[Li...]
I found it. Just updated 339 programs to a new file path instantly! Dude that was a life saver! I got another one for ya. So we have data results going to the part specific folder on out network. This doesnt work now that IT changed the name of the path. In a program Resources>Name for output files>...for this measurement Plan Anyway you know of to changer universally.?

What I dislike about this function is that the window is too small to fully show long paths, and you can't go through a long list step by step and preview every change before even hitting the replace button. I prefer to load the *.arn in Notepad and do a search/replace of all paths there. Not as well-arranged as the S&R window, but gives me more control. Please sign in to view this quote. The Master can set a global file path in "name for output files", but if you haven't set the checkmark in every program to actually use it, I think you'll need to catch up on it now. For the future, maybe consider using a mapped drive letter instead of a full network path, i.e. Q:\ This assumes your folder structure didn't change. [Li...]
Well guys I was able to work the new file paths into the AutoRuns on two different CMM's. I had two other ones that IT for some reason could not get to map to this new network path. They finally figured it out last nigth some time. I worked on one of them today. This one CMM is our oldest version (5.8.16) and everything was going fine with the "search" and "replace" until I went back to Calypso and tried to start the AutoRun. #1 How do I get it to not automatically start the Autorun when I click autorun. This one is set up to where I dont get to click the arn file I want. #2 After clicking autorun I get a message that the file is not accessible #3 I messed something up because nothing populates and get a weird window that I have "syntax error" Any help or direction would be appreciated.AUTORUN ISSUE.jpg
[Ri...]
Does the "arn" file reside in the path shown in the error message?

Since this question hasn't been answered yet, follow these steps: Go to Extras / Settings / Environment / Start In the upper dropdown select "Start with Autorun" If the path selector field reads "-Unnamed-", only make sure to select "Start with blank page" and skip the next step. Otherwise, if "Open an Autorun file" is selected, also select "With the Autorun file" and empty the path selector field. Select "Start with blank page" again Set the dropdown back to "Start with Calypso" As to the error message, this is hard to analyze. If you (hopefully) made a backup of the original file, the best you can do is to use a compare tool to find the exact spot where the file has become corrupted. Or just start over from the backup.
