Calypso 6.2.16
Win7

Under "Resources"
......"Name for output files"
......"for this measurement plan"
Which opens a dialog box "Name definitions for output files for this Measurement Plan"(See image), where are the text strings stored for the PCM syntax?
I need to do mass editing of a few thousand files for a string and change that string to a new string.

We only use the option "...setting for all Measuerment Plans" and this is stored in \config\env\values
Since without this option it's a per plan setting I'd assume it's stored somewhere in the inspection file, or maybe in inspset if it exists.

Our setup also uses the option for 'use setting for all measurement plans', however taking it a step further, we have the setting for all measurement plans set as a different variable depending on the type of file.

So for instance we have pdfReport, piwebReport, chrReport etc.

Then we have pcm that runs whenever a file begins that updates the value of the variable based on the report headers, such as program name incremental part number etc.

If you have the pcm option, you can look up the names of the different pcm files available under the help listed as "Reference: Names of external PCM files"

Thank you, all of the above are true, I found the string I need to edit in the "inspset" file.
Odd part is, the string I wanted to search, is broken into separate lines. At least now I know what string I can search and replace.

Did you find a way to automate it? We also have hundreds of programs with inspset files. Many do not have a valid path. Some do not have a path at all. What do I need to know to edit the inspset directly?

Thanks, Susan Heintz

The"inspset" file is always in the same folder as the program name at creation.

To edit the strings, you have to know what the original string will be and replaced by the new string.

Rick,

Can you share the strings to inspset file to modify the PDF output path ?

Im experimenting with something - if it goes well , I'll report back.

Thank you.

I found the line that is for pdf output I believe.

I was planning on doing a find and replace with NPP possibly with Regex and wildcard.

However the line or 2 lines do not always appear in every inspet file, the file is ordered alphabetically, however doing my best to put it in it's proper place does not work. Program loads 8/9 then says failed to open program.

For proper findings use comparison of two files. First make copy of inspset file, then make changes ( aka turn off pdf path ) and save. Now you can find differences.
