Exporting probes from desktop to laptop, brand new setup

Good evening for those of us in the Mountain time zone,
How do you move probe files from the desktop to the laptop to program offline? Btw, I was a diehard fan of PC-DMIS until I started with Calypso, I fell in love with its ease of use. Thank you far any help I get on this. 😎

Good morning from the GMT+2 time zone! 🀣

Are we talking about an offline seat (Planner/Simulation) or just another basic Calypso setup?
For simulation you need to build all your probes in Stylus creator (including the master probe) and import them in SSC format.

If you only need the stylus names, ruby diameters and lengths for basic Calypso, just export them from the stylus management window (PCF format) and reimport on the laptop.

Good morning,
When I try to only move the probe names and sizes, I get an error telling me that I can’t import because the master probe uses a Vast while the online machine uses something else.

Well, of course the live machine and the laptop must use machine settings of the same type (probe head).
You should also use the same master probe length when exchanging exported probes, otherwise the Z position of imported styli might be wrong.

Can you post a screenshot of the error message?
