[Cl...]
Sigma value is in (.00003), but the qualification fails and I get an error message that references SDO 1215. I ended up doing a geometry re-qualification to get it to pass. Anyone know what's going on here?
[Ri...]
Sounds like you are getting MSSQL issues. I ran into this on an old computer that got updated to 2018. I had to update the SQL database to a newer version. This may or may not be the same thing you are experiencing.
[Cl...]
For future reference, if anyone gets this error, here's what to look for. Replaced the MP adapter plate, error message went away, (thought that fixed it). Then we saw a .003 plus difference in Z measurements using straight down (vertical) probes (horizontal probe result was OK). I had a spare XXT, replaced it, re-qualified all probes and all looks good.
[Ja...]
Hi Thought I'd restart this thread than create another...I am having the same issue. I'll paste what I have sent below to Zeiss customer support (currently awaiting their response); 'Please advise, struggling to qualify probe angle A-90 B90 on one of our probes (normal straight stylus) - see error message below. I have qualified other probes in the same orientation, same masterball, same location and even changed the adaptor plate for the probe in question. I have also deleted the angle and recreated the stylus in stylus system manager but it still doesn't work. Other stylus angles for this probe seem to qualify fine. Its just something about this angle its not liking for some reason, despite it qualifying successfully in the past. I have tried moving the master ball so it has full access to the sphere. I'm at a point where I'm stuck now so an help would be appreciated.' Cheers JackSDO 1215 Qualification Error.JPG
[Ri...]
Maybe this has something to do with the error? Go to: Extras CMM Stylus system Define and activate limit values See image: Capture.JPG Or you may have individual settings. Go to: CMM tab Stylus system Then select Set limit values See image: Capture2.JPGCapture2.JPGCapture.JPG
[Mi...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Nah I'm pretty certain this error is referring to some predefined maximum from Zeiss apart from what we can set in software. When getting it, check the simple stuff. Loose/Damaged probe, Loose XXT head, etc. But in our experience, this error usually means the head is on it's way out. Even if you get it to cooperate and calibrate once, order a replacement immediately and don't trust the results you get in programs.
[Cr...]
I've had this error for many years. It seems to happen just after Zeiss calibrates our CMM. It seems very random. One stylus system might have this error on 10 probes and some stylus systems it won't have any errors. Zeiss couldn't figure out the issue. The only way I found to fix the issue is to delete the specific probe with the error and recreate it.
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. This is spot on. The value for sigma is set by the controller and not editable through CALYPSO in any way. Please sign in to view this quote. This sounds like an SQL issue unrelated to SDO-1215 based on your description. It may be an SDO or SDCO error but that doesn't sound like 1215
[Ja...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Checked and there was a very slight mark on the ruby, not visible at first. Replaced the stylus, and calibration was fine....just wish I'd checked this before deleting the stylus and re-creating all the angles 🙄 Least it wasn't an overly expensive fix, financially that is not time which I valuable very highly! Thanks for your help Jack
