[No...]
Is anyone familiar with this error and what may cause it? The file path shown is the measurement plan folder, which resides on a network drive. The file pallet_vars.txt is used by an external PCM script in the same folder to write setRecordHead() commands to and to run it as a PCM file (for more information refer to this thread: viewtopic.php?t=4495) The program (pallet) has run fine from Autorun for many years now. As of today, it still works most of the time, but every now and then this error comes up and Calypso stops with a red light. The only major change that has happened recently was the upgrade to Calypso 2022 and the latest service pack. Operators say the error started to appear after the switch to 2022. P.S.: This is an O-Inspect. Similar pallets with the same PCM script on our two Conturas seem to run fine. But that may just as well be a matter of frequency. The program above runs a lot more often than the others.
[Ke...]
Whenever we see this error, it comes from the programs being networked. Do you have only 1 O-inspect this program is run on, or multiple?
[No...]
Only one. All of our programs only run on one machine at a time. We even maintain seperate inspection folders for all our CMMs. So it can't be some kind of file access conflict.
[Is...]
yes, it was a bug.. update the software
[Ke...]
It may have to do with having the programs on network (not a recommended practice). I would suggest moving the programs to the local pc and running from there for a period of time to see if the error no longer appears, as a way to test if it is network related. [No...]
Please sign in to view this quote. That would mean I need to upgrade to Calypso 2023? Because for 2022 I already have the latest service pack (7.4.12) installed. The only thing missing is the latest patch, but the patch notes say nothing about this error. Please sign in to view this quote. Unfortunately I cannot do that. It is the company's policy to have all important data on a network drive. Local PC drives are not backed up, so I would have to take care and full responsibility of it myself. Also, moving the programs only temporarily would mean a lot of hassle I'm not willing to take, as I would have to change and test a lot of path settings inside and outside of Calypso. [No...]
For those in the know: Why does the only notable occurence of the string "ERROR_SHARING_VIOLATION" seemingly have to do with printer selection? Doesn't make sense to me. 😕 Is there a possible connection or am I missing something?
