[Ri...]
Like the title says, one program always has an issue with a Start alignment not going to where its programmed. It's a simple Point, it misses the part by about .030 (Inch) or so. It is supposed to probe on the top of the part but ends up in the ID. Any assistance is appreciated. Calypso 6.6 Micura CMM Edit: The Base Alignment works fine.
[DW...]
Does the point use a formula to find its location? Perhaps reset the start alignment by doing a manual start alignment?
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The point uses a formula to find the top center of the Plane based on the Feature Plane size (.222 inch). Which raises a thought, I will try to tie the location of the point based on the last location of the ID (Diameter). I have completed a manual Base Alignment and a manual Start Alignment; I have also recreated the Start Alignment after running a manual Base Alignment. None of the above solved the issue. [Ri...]
(New job) What I have learned. They have been running of an existing Start Alignment, typically found in the Base Alignment folder. The program used to align the fixture has disappeared some time long ago. Re-creating the Alignment program resolved the problem.
