[Da...]
I ran into a callout for roundness that had LSC behind it. This was confusing, because Calypso defaults to Min Feature for roundness char. I've never seen this type of callout before. So, it turns out that Calypso can report roundness using LSQ. You have to change it on the char side. So far it has made the results worse. Luckily, we have quite a few roundness testers here, and I can compare results. The roundness testers that we have ALL use LSQ to analyze roundness. So, which is correct? I'll be following the print call out for this case. But what should be the standard when there is no designation??
[Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The standard when there is no designation should be the function / end use. Also, I try to work closely with engineering whenever possible to remove ambiguity when it comes to eval. methods.
[Da...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It turns out that, min feature (MZC) , is the correct way (satisfies ANSI and ISO) But, in my case we will follow print instructions and use LSQ.
