Customer is on Calypso 5.4
Customer has replaced network cable.
Customer has confirmed network cable plugged into correct RJ45 port.
In process of confirming static IP address.
Looks like customer hasn't used the machine in a very long time.

Just looking for suggestions on what else to check.

Judging by the status window, they are connecting to the same machine tab that they did before "OldColonyShop". To me, assuming they haven't swapped computers, this tells me it could be a cable, incorrect IP address, or something like that. Which you guys are already troubleshooting.

If you think it's an IP issue, then the above thread might help.

Obvious question but, have you had them completely shut down the controller and computer?

LOL, Yes. That issue is being actively worked on for the KNOWLEDGE BASE. There appears to be a translation issue between our hosting platform API and our ZEISS PORTAL that breaks the formatting. Picture sizing is only one of several issues we are reviewing. My apologies.

Have you tried to FTP to controller IP? Maybe a plugin module or something in the controller is damaged after the long time off. I assume it starts up well (display/lights on joystick box)? Still there could be something faulty in the controller. How's the mainboard battery doing?
Are they using a network switch between CMM and computer for whatever reason (e.g. Calypso/UMESS parallel operation)? Those switches tend to go bad after some time.

Customer tried the tests from the Knowledge Base doc mentioned earlier and claimed everything passed as described.

Had customer make new new machine tab and was unable to make connection.

Nothing makes sense now.

Guess I have to go on a road trip and look over everything myself.
