[Ma...]
Hey fellow programmers. I've been using the function "Clear Existing Results" for years because from my early years and through the classes, I was always told to keep it checked, but never questioned why. Going through some older programs at a new company, and have found some that do not have this checked. Management wants some explanation on what this could mean by activating it again. I guess I'm asking if someone could give some clarification to exactly what purpose and what function this does with and without it being checked through programming and also while running it through AutoRun. Please and thankyou in advanced.
[Ju...]
Clear Existing Results is for when a new part is measured. If you only want to re-run certain features of a part, you would delete the actuals of those features, then uncheck Clear Existing Results to keep the rest of the data.
