Connection Timeout Error

Unfortunately, I can't get a screen clip of it. But, I'll randomly get this error that says "Connection Timeout. Connection to host broke down!!! For save operation, connection will be established - if possible." Sometimes, it will reconnect on its own. Other times, I'll get this error message. "Info - Message from KMGIO.DLL. InterfaceGetSpoll: Connection reset by host (WSAGetLastError: 10054) Press [OK] to continue (viewing messages). Press [Cancel] to supress these messages!!! No UNDO function available!!!"

Since it does reconnect sometimes, do you guys think this is a hardware failure? Or a software error? I'm about to change the ethernet cable, but I don't have high hopes.

Had that same issue with a Contura several years ago. Ours was a problem with the motherboard. Zeiss tech changed it out during our annual calibration.

Also had connection problems and a message with KMGIO.DLL!
For me it was the energy saving mode.
I then have "In network operation, the PC goes to sleep"
set to - NEVER -, since then I haven't had any more problems.

I recently had a time out issue as well. Windows forced an update and computer lost the IP address to our machine. Or so I am told by our I.T.

I had this issue for the first time today on our Duramax. Restarting the computer and verified network connection did nothing to remedy it. Then I restarted the CMM controller and it came back online without issue. The machine about 3 yrs old.
