Hello,
Is there possibility to take out .csv file from GearPro!
I found the way how to get it for one measurement (one part), but could it be possible to get something in one file let`s say for 10-20 different part measurements?
Like in attached file? This .csv file is from gear measuring machine, there I can get out every value of measurement.

You can combine the .csv files with Excel. We do this with chr.txt files for copy and paste into our reports.

Create a folder on your desktop. Only put the files you want combined in the folder.

To the right of the Home tab is the Data tab. Click
On the left is Get Data. Click
Towards the bottom should be Launch Power Query Editor. Click
New Source should be on the right. Click
Mouse over File then Folder. Click
Select the folder you created.
Combine and Transform. Click
Delimiter for .CSV is... comma or if .TXT then TAB
Click OK
Upper left is Close and Load. Click
To the right of the Home tab is the Insert tab. Click
Pivottable. Click
OK. Click

Now you just drag what you want to create the table.

This is but one path to accomplish this combining of files.

Good luck!

  • with an XSLT result output a text file can be written concerning to a workpiece with the desired results - and then possibly proceed as Eric Sikora describes it.
  • maybe a text output will follow later, like now the XSLT output but more powerful, so that existing text files, like CSV can be supplemented.

Could you show me a screen shot where this is set up on GearPro? You say to the Right of the Home Tab is the Data Tab. I don't see a Home Tab in Gear Pro.

I can export my OD and RD, and am able to convert that information to get actual points using X,Y, Z, R calculations in Excel from .txt.

I want to be able to export my other results like Profile, Lead, and Pitch. My fear is they are getting rid of ListForm, so I need to find an alternate solution here for how we preform our Tooth-To-Tooth calculations.

I also want to note, some of these are Helical Gears.

    Thank you for your time.
