Disc stylus for XXT

I am trying to qualify a disc stylus on XXT. I am aware this isn't Zeiss approved, but also aware of the workaround where you probe a ring gage with a sphere stylus, copy the stylus and rename it as the disc, then probe with the disc stylus and edit the geometry.
However, when I do this, only the radius is able to be edited. The X, Y, and Z (and everything else) is all grayed out.
What am I doing wrong?

To be able to modify the radius but, not anything is else strange.
Are you adjusting the data in the stylus system management window under geometry?
Are you signed into Calypso as the master user and with computer administrator rights?

Owen, yes I am logged in as Master. Not sure if I have administrative rights to the computer itself as our IT is pretty tight with that stuff.

Richard, yours is grayed out as well while the video tutorial I saw, theirs was not grayed out. Even so, I have tried going in to the window in your second screenshot, and I am still only able to edit the radius.

Darci,

Yes - it will only ever allow you to change only the radius directly from the Stylus window (the first screenshot is just to show this). The Geometry window allows you to modify everything related to the stylus (the second screenshot).

Could you share some screenshots?

Thanks.

Richard,
Screenshot attached. This is for a different stylus, but its the same. I can click and edit the radius, but the other numbers does not allow me to click to edit.
Sorry for the delay, for some reason I was unable to access the forum for a couple of weeks.

If the stylus you copied from was calibrated using the RDS-CAA qualification, it will be grayed out. In order for you to be able to edit your X,Y,and Z, you must use a probe that does not use the RDS-CAA qualification.
