[Ma...]
I am new to Calypso and need to know what type of software/hardware features I need in order to run multiple parts consecutively without stopping. I've seen some stuff about Autorun Pallet...not sure how to even start using that at this point. Is that something I need to purchase and download? I will have the part fixturing already setup and ready to go, just need to check all of these parts and have individual reports for each part. [img][/img] Thanks! [To...]
Hi Matt Yes, an AutoRun pallet is the way to go here. There's 2 ways to set this up but I'm only going to cover one, as I believe it will be more reliable with set-up like this. We'll assume you have a cmm program that can measure 1 part. Let's call it "Part". Next, I would create a new program and we'll call it "Fixture". Create a Base alignment on the fixture, i.e. Spatial - 3 or 4 point plane on top Planar - 2 point line on front X Origin - Point on Left Side Y Origin - 2 point line on front Z Origin - 3 or 4 point plane on top Create your Clearance Planes Run program to create alignment "Fixture(cnc)" Close and save fixture program. Open part program. Without moving the fixture, load part in 1st position, front left. Do a manual alignment, either from the Base Alignment window or from the run window. It is not important to run the entire program at this time. We're only trying to create an alignment on the part, located in the 1st position of the fixture. Close part program. Saving is not necessary but ok if you want to. The alignment process was already saved. Make sure there a no open programs. Go to menu item Plan and select AutoRun. Click the Pallet icon (one with 9 dots) Under Pallet Alignment, select Fixture(cnc) Under Part Alignment, select Part <-- without (cnc) Leave Regular and part reffering to pallet "checked" In Pattern in X, enter 6 and 3" in distance. (I assume your fixture has 1" spacing on holes) If I am wrong, enter the distance of spacing, center of part to center of part, in X In Pattern in Y, enter 3 and 6" in distance (same as above) Click Apply and Ok New icon will be generated. You can drag the icon wherever you want. You can resize it by dragging the lower right corner. Right-click on the icon and select "Select All". Click Run If you don't have a full pallet, you can select the positions manually by clicking on each square. Use caution and click the squares in order because it will run the pallet in the order that you clicked them. There are several other things to learn about pallets but this should get you started. [To...]
I found something I created some time ago. I thought I did a more complete one but I can't find it.
[Vi...]
I'm going through something similar. I followed what Tom Oakes had mentioned got the fixture all set up but now it runs 4 times in the same location and on the 5th run Is way off out in left field. What am I doing wrong? I'm running Calypso 2023 with a vast xt head.
[Ma...]
That's odd. You should have one program to define fixture and it's axis and then measuring program. If you set as Tom posted on PDF file, then it should measure selected nests. Never seen what you described, unless you don't specify each nest own alignment. [Je...]
Make sure you are inputting the proper distances between parts in Step #
