Search distance deviation issues

We have a part that changes length about 10-90mm from nominal, to combat this we increased the search distance for the first feature and that worked well until we got a part that was so far from nominal that even though the search distance worked as intended, Calypso stopped the program and a "deviation 12.345mm off" window popped up.

From what I can tell Calypso is seeing a drastic difference between nominal Z and what it is probing in Z, is there a setting to turn this off or increase the range/percentile of error?

With the way the program is setup it should work fine, Calypso is trying to be helpful but is getting in the way.

Hey Andrew. Yes, there are definitely ways to troubleshoot the situation you described. Could you please add a few more details or perhaps even a screenshot if feasible?

I would think to use some formulas to adjust nominal value. If you would add formula with popup window to enter approximate nominal value would be better choice.

You also have to adjust the "...before nominal" and "...after nominal" values in the Measurement Plan Editor. "Search distance" alone may not be sufficient for every application.
