Likely a corrupted SQL database or SQL Services is not starting properly. I advise a call to your regions SW Help Desk. They may need to assist with an uninstall and reinstall SQL.

PRO TIP FOR ALL: Add battery-backup (UPS) to all PCs running CALYPSO or any other software that utilizes M$ SQL. I cannot recommend this strongly enough.

All of you in the Southern US that are unfortunately about to experience horrible storms. Put your UPS in place immediately. I'd much rather you call my team with questions on how to use a feature in CALYPSO than how to restore your CALYPSO Config.

is that something we can do ourselves? I have installed Calypso in the past
Will reinstalling Calypso help with that?
if this is a specific file that you suspect it is corrupted, can you help me find it? i have option to recover and reset to previous version

To expand on this, now is a good time to backup your Calypso, just in case. There are multiple ways to do this.
1) Extras-Settings-Miscellaneous-System-Save (this verbiage may change from version to version). This will create a .bak file that can then be loaded using the "restore" option in the same menu.

2) Error Report: In Extras-Error report. You will need to put some characters into the "what I did" section as there is a minimum character count. Once you have done that go to File-Save (or save as), and make sure that CMM Config is checked. Then save the file somewhere safe.

3) Manually copying/Zipping the config folder (see link below)

And of course, if you know the risk of power outage is high and you are able to, doing a full shutdown of the system will help protect it.

Dealing with SQl can be frustrating, so contacting your regional SW HelpDesk may be best. If you wish to attempt this yourself I have attached a knowledgebase link, which is only available to a subset of users currently, but I will attempt to send you an html download of the article if this does not work.

I've had this error before.
One thing I found to check is the "MSSQL$SDCO service is running.
Open Task Manager, go to the services tab.
Look for MSSQL$SDCO and see if its running.
If the status shows "Stopped", select it, right click and select "Start".

Restart Calypso.

This is the UPS that we have installed. It is an On-Line Double Conversion UPS, which means that even if the power goes out, your computer will not flicker or restart. We have electricity for several hours after a power outage. Compressed air, however, is another story, but at least I can program offline and play the hidden Tetris game.
