[Ma...]
Hi, How to export polynomial surface in gom inspect, I am not able to export this surface from gom inspect it shows some error.
[Se...]
Hi Manoj, In which format is the export required? The polynominal surface itself can not be exported. But you can tessellate it (CONSTRUCT>Surface>Tessellate Geometrical Element) and export this surface instead. Hope this helps. Cheers, Sergio
[Ma...]
Hi Sergio, Good day! I need this as IGES Format, I have created tessellate on that polynomial surface but still, I can't export that tessellates surface. Just for your info, I am using GOM 2019 free software version. [Ch...]
Hey, The IGES format exports only standard geometry elements like circles, lines, points etc. or sections. If you want to export mesh/tessellated structures you can either use the STL or G3D file format. If kind CAD model is required the mesh has to be converted in a Reverse Engineering Tool like Zeiss Reverse Engineering.
[Ma...]
Hi Christine, Thanks for the info, But is it possible to export polynomial surfaces? Get it like standard geometry If possible it would be great and time-saving for creating a CAD model from STL data.
[Ch...]
I take this as a software wish.
