[Ri...]
Calypso v2022 (7.4.08) is blazingly....SLOW! These two new CMM's are new, PC's are new. Specs seem pretty good, other CAD programs have no problems. Everything you do in this version is either slow or slower than slow. Its so slow, that when slow people see it, they say, that's slow! (I'm here all week folks). Editing features or characteristics, menus, and don't get me on loading programs. 🙄 Annnd I'm on loading programs... 🤣 The same programs in v2019 takes about 3 to 7 more minutes longer to load in v2022. Then there is saving. Holy wait till tomorrow Batman!
[Ma...]
Can you share some specs? I am now responsible for ordering new pc - choosed NVME drive and basic Core i5-13500 with ( i hope ) DDR5 memories.

[Ma...]
Did you observed low CPU and SSD usage while starting / loading calypso / program? I don't know deeply how calypso works, but i would like to see how it would behave with SATA SSD and not NVME ( NVME have higher read/write speeds than SATA, but it should be noticable with bigger files - random read/write is not as good, maybe same as SATA ) Only usage for that HP workstation and Xeon processors is that can handle much more RAM than common processors. I was watching our setup with 2019 - nothing more than 6 cores used and no more than 80% usage of them while calculating results.
[Ri...]
Hard drive has barely any activity, its a SSD. The CPU spikes to about 25%. Memory seems stable when loading/unloading. GPU about 3% max.
[Ed...]
Hi, In older Calypso version I had this kind of problem. My programs were very heavy, up to 2GB! Check files in your programs. .sab and one more file were adding something all the time. Time to time I was just deleting these files.
[Mi...]
We have the same problems. Our programs and report are saved on servers. This is one of possible issues of slowing, but in version 7.0 or 6.8 it worked fine like this way. The HP Z4 isn't the best workstation (3500€). We bought a Dell (1600€) (to replace a old workstation) with the minimum system requiremets to Calypso and works better than the Zeiss HP Z4. Anyway Calypso 7.4.08 on Accura has a 3 seconds of delay when clicking start the CNC program to wait to see the machine moviments. Piweb make 10 second more to print out the result than the previous version. The only report who out istantely is the custom printout-default. Also the "measuring points" are heavy than the old version. I hope the Calypso 2023 is more fast and better but on these year the top Calypso was 6.8. Imho. [Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The largest of the programs (10 total) is 597mb, entire contents of the folder. SAB files (There are two different models) and they are no larger than 192mb. The models are nearly identical, one has minor changes.
[Do...]
Hey 🙂 Can you check which GPU gets the load in the Task Manager ? (which name show up in the task manager under the tab gpu ?) Do you work with a 2 or 1 monitor setup ? Where is your monitor plugged in ? You can also check, if the acis.exe and vwnt.exe are allowed to communicate through the Firewall, this can really slow down your experience with Calypso 😉
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. GPU is the Nvidia card. No big load on that. ACIS and vwnt are not allowed thru the firewall, nothing is allowed thru the firewall. Same scenario with v2019. Single monitor. The cable connection is something new I haven't seen before. To reiterate, this is all new Zeiss installed systems for v2022.
[Ed...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Yup, I had the same problem! I would say this is too much, one program shouldn`t be more than 20MB, of course depends from features etc. Cut these two files to desktop (model.fct & model.sab), if this won`t help you can easily put them back. Than try to run the program and work with it 🙂
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I've removed the models, it is noticeably faster. Some of the programs run about 1 1/2 hours. There is a large amount of features.
[Ed...]
At least something... You could try is to install everything from the scratch, or update to newer version 😉 An updates helped to me.
