Controller box unresponsive

I'm having an issue on one of my CMM's where the controller box is completely unresponsive. I do not have any errors in the status window that would indicate the machine is not connected to the box or is not supported. The red error light on the controller is lit up red. I ran a safe program from the home position without an issue but I have no functions associated with the box. (i.e. cant move the head, change the speed, or hear the acoustic beeps from the controller.) I have tried powering down and powering back up with no success. I do have a support ticket in to Zeiss, but I'm open to try anything that may help in the mean time. Thanks in advance.

I just gave it a shot and unfortunately it didn't seem to do anything. Thank you for the response and information. Ill have to stick that sheet into my "I hope to never need this, but just incase I do" folder.

🤣 Tom, you're spot on. Previous to my tenure here, the control box was dropped damaging the potentiometer. It was then retrofit to have the potentiometer mounted on the side. I ended up swapping the control box from another Contura to confirm that it was the box and not something major.
