Adapter plates

Hi all,

Had a new CMM installed, our third machine, but the sensor rack is at X+ rather that Y+ like our existing machines.

Just setting up the machine and went to store the Master probe, machine moved to X- and DROPPED the Master probe due to no sensor rack been there!

Fortunately I had the foam lined box the qual’ sphere was in open and underneath the drop point, so the Master probe had a soft landing!

I’m assuming when the guys were installing the machine they temporarily put the rack in X-, then fixed it in X+.

My question is, the adapter plate for the Master probe won’t fit the rack at X+, is it just a case of unscrewing the 3x bolts and turning the plate?

I can’t find any literature on this, and only one post on here alludes to it (didn’t even know it was possible)!

Thanks in advanced!

On the rack, push the dust cover back. There is a wheel at the back that can be rotated to line up with the notch on the adapter plate. Test fit the adapter plate to make sure it fits and the dust cover closes with no interference before changing automatically.

Ah, I see, thanks all!

I was really beginning to question my sanity, how on earth could the adapter plate fit the rack when it’s 180 out!

Now I know why the plate has all the notches!

Thanks once again!
