Calibrating Spline Probe

Hi All

I am currently using the fixed VAST head on our ACCURA, and have recently built up a new probe for measuring gears.

I've hit an hurdle already - The CMM seems to locate the probe in the holder okay, but it doesn't let me qualify any angles, as it keeps asking me to 'qualify the reference sphere with the master probe', which I have done three times! Any one got any ideas?

It says sphere number two, is this the sphere that you usually use to calibrate your probes with?

Been there done that haha. My first thought was to look at Sphere number.
