Which of the 2 alignments for this bogus part would be the better alignment? The Y center of the part is the V notch just above the 5.24 dim arrow. Thank you for your input and have a great weekend!!!!!!!

Top plane (Spatial +Z). For the +Y Planar, I'd measure 4 lines. Two each on the front and back v-notches.
Intersect each set of lines for a point. Then construct a 3d line from those two points. Then the bottom radius
for my XY origin. The blue & red planar lines are too short.

That Planar 2D line would be too short. Symmetry from 2D lines of 39.99 would be much better.
