Super easy Calypso 101 Question, Probe Qual Program

If i do a Ref Sphere Position before i run my probe cal program, is there any reason to include the master probe in the probe cal program?
I never understood what having the master probe in a probe cal program accomplishes. It's just been something that i have seen every place i've been, including training classes, and something that i continue to do out of "good practice".
But is there a reason for this?

Additionally, at my last job we used to get a report printed out at the end of the program run, showing every angle and the S value.
I cant find what report that was or how to activate it.

I think there is no reason other than to be on the safe side.
We include it in all our calibration programs because they are run by untrained personnel from Autorun and we don't want to rely on them remembering to position the sphere prior to calibration (and to remember why that is necessary!)

The master- probe (CZreference) is reference for all measurements. Also for the correction of the machine. It´s important for 3D- correction of the machine to exactly calculate the position of the probe in the measuring volume.

That´s why you need the master- probe.

It's been a minute since I've worked somewhere that had the text file generate post qualification run, but I believe it should be enabled via the Measurement Plan Tab>Multiple Report. In the middle under "Output media for CNC run" click the "..." button. Then under the "Output File" drop down, try "Stylus Data". Or "PDF File Text". You can have both if you check "Name of output file variable".

If you use a fixture to locate the reference sphere in the same place on the table, having the MasterProbe in the cal program eliminates the need to manually find the reference sphere position.
