[Ke...]
We currently have an O-Inspect, running Calypso 2017. I have several measurement plans that occasionally lock up after a part has been scanned. After the scans are complete, the Multiple Printout report will display on the screen, but something continues to run behind the scene. The Calypso Monitor timer continues run (sometimes for over 45 minutes) and does not allow us to start the next part. The normal time to measure 1 part is approximately 3 minutes. If I use task manager to close all Calypso relate programs, reload Calypso and measure the next part. It will lock up again. If I use task manager to close all Calypso related programs, reload Calypso and a DIFFERENT measurement plan, measure 1 part with the DIFFERENT measurement plan, and THEN reload my original measurement plan, the program will run properly for a day or 2. When I use task manager to monitor my processor, RAM, and disk usage, I do not see anything standing out that may be leading to my problem. Any ideas where to start? [Ju...]
Have you tried pressing ctrl+Y to utilize the User Interrupt function of Calypso?
[Ke...]
Justin, Thanks for your response. I have not tried CTRL-Y. I will share this with my team to see if it helps us when we lock up.
[DW...]
Out of curiosity, when this lockup happens - Is PiWeb open and idle or is it trying to be opened when the system calls it for the multiple report? Have you recently applied Windows updates? Specifically anything in regards to Microsoft SQL Server. Since it sounds like the program runs fine until it is time to kick the measurement data over into PiWeb, my suggestion is to look into how that transfer takes place. There are some very knowledgeable people on here specifically in regards to PiWeb. It is possible the database file for certain programs have been corrupted. So when the Calypso measurement data is being transferred to the PiWeb reporting database, if it is corrupt it will just hang. Your default database location should be similar to this "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\PiWebReportingDatabases". Take the database (named whatever your program is called with a .dfm extension) from your troubled program, and move it to the desktop. Run the program. When it goes to transfer the data from Calypso to PiWeb, it will automatically generate a new database. If that doesn't fix your problem, just delete the new database in the aforementioned location, and drag your old database on the desktop back into the default database folder. Probably a good idea not to have PiWeb open when doing that. Best of luck sir.
