[Ri...]
I keep thinking there is a way to report the diameters of a cylinder at each end point of the length of the cylinder. Either I'm dreaming or a I cant find the setting. (I know I can report end points of the length of a cylinder in True Position). Anyone recall or know this capability? [Mi...]
Not directly that I know of. Recall Feature Point Circles using range limits to only pull data from the sections you want, putting those circles on a secondary alignment that uses the full cylinder as the Spatial Tilt for extra precision. You could also intersect the cylinder with a theoretical plane at the locations you want, again having the plane on an alignment from the Cylinder... this would be less accurate though. You might get some use out of the Step Cylinder too as a third option.

I will have to look at the step cylinder option. Thanks
[Ch...]
Please sign in to view this quote. There should definitely be a cross section feature to report any # of circle paths etc ( I know filtering may affect these), at a minimum we should have an "additional printout" option for 2 path for sizes etc . time to request it on the My Voice portal.. [Mi...]
I've wondered about using a cone with no angle and then using the cone calculations to report at specific spots, but I don't know enough about what's happening behind the scenes to know if that's going to give a valid result for size.
