[Ty...]
Recently I have been having a weird issue that seems to have come out of nowhere and occur randomly. It happens randomly, but every once in a while I will get the warning in the attached photo. Sometimes it will be after the probe qualification run, today it just happened as I was changing the nominal location of a feature. Does anyone know what could be causing this so randomly?synchronisation problem.PNG
[No...]
I don't know, so I can only speculate: Network card problem (driver/hardware) If you have a network switch between PC and CMM controller, it may be faulty. anything else (sorry)
[Er...]
I had random controller issues. Replaced the ethernet cable with a shielded ethernet cable and the issues went away.
[Ke...]
It may also be a good idea to check your antivirus and firewall settings, these can sometimes cause some interesting issues, and are often sporadic, making them difficult to diagnose. I have attached a link to a Zeiss Knowledgebase article outlining the recommended exceptions. https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base ... &id=563509
[Aa...]
We were having this problem today. The operator said he had shut both the PC and the CMM down and restarted them, still it persisted. Here's what I did that fixed the problem: - Shut down the PC - Shut down the CMM - Wait 2 minutes. - Turn on the CMM (and the drives as soon as it's ready) - Turn on the PC - Start Calypso -Click "Change Settings" -Click "CMM" -Click "Connect" A little background on the problem: We leave our PC's and CMM's running overnight. Last night we had a power outage. The UPS that runs the PC and CMM was known to be bad. This morning the operator came in to find the PC off. The CMM's power switch was on, but it wasn't running. To start it, he turned it off and back on. So apparently it was the loss of power that initiated this problem for us.
