Vast XXT head start with going in -Z

hello everyone,

this is my 1st post here and hope u can help me with this problem,
so its been a month since i measured with Vast XXT and in this month i moved the rack bit forward and upgraded Calypso to 2022,
i have measured the Probe socket and everything was set up,
but when i started my program to measure all probes the 1st probe started in -Z (to go to the measuring ball) and unfortunately it broke it, in the past it would start with -Y then X then Z
i would appreciate it if anyone knows a solution for this

btw i know that i can set all probes to move forward and leave a distance but the Vast XT probe is too long and if i moved ever further it would be too close to the measuring piece [img]https://imgtr.ee/images/2023/06/14/TGIpV.jpg[/img]

if I understand correctly you should have the same problem i had. I asked that question in this thread: viewtopic.php?t=11426 (Unfortunitly in German).

So the Tool changing is working alright ? But when a Startprobe is moving to the meassuring Ball it starts going down in Z first ?
Then you can try to go to the KMG settings -> then go to the last Tap. Something like Travel behavior -> Then untick "Reduced travel distances during probe calibration"
That helped me. So the Probe will Position first in X/Y and then in Z-
