[Gr...]
I'm trying to import a cad file to set up a program. However the only format it will accept is ACIS .SAT/.SAB. However the Siemens NX CAD software we use on site is not licensed to export to ACIS. I'm between a rock and a hard place because of this. Is there any easy work arounds to get Calypso to accept anything other than ACIS? I was lead to believe it would accept STEP files, but I guess the licensing type we have means it doesn't? Thanks. [Je...]
Your license is set to accept STEP (*.STP) OR IGES (*.IGS). If you wish to add a file format to load via CALYPSO then you will need to contact your Aftermarket Sales Representative.
[Gr...]
The problem is that it doesn't accept STEP or IGES. If calypso accepted either of those formats it would be fine. I assume there is a third option of only accepting ACIS? Either way it seems that we would need to change licenses in order to import in those formats? [Je...]
When you select CAD > CAD Files > Load... , in the file load window, what file types show up in the drop-down? Are you able to select another file type? Only ACIS types will show by default, you must open the drop-down to select another type if you have somethign other than ACIS types to load. If only ACIS is shown, go to Extra > Settings > Miscellaneous and make sure all your licenses are turned on. Feel free to post a screenshot if you want more in-depth assistance.
