Micura regularly forgets what probe is attached.

We have a Micura machine that has 4 probes on a stand.

There is a recurring issue that started about 6 months ago, but seems to be getting where it seems to forget what probe is currently attached to it, often in the middle of measuring or when changing the probe.

It will say 'Non-defined' and then refuse to automatically change.

Often it will freeze and refuse to let you release the probe manually. I've tried cleaning all the contacts using IPA, under the guess that there was some dirt on the contacts, but that doesn't seem to have improved it.

Any idea why it could be doing this?

Also, if the machine stops/red-lights during the middle of a stylus change, it will always "forget" what stylus is loaded (with some exceptions using ChipID). Essentially, as soon as the stylus change routine starts, CALYPSO sends instruction to the CMM controller to disable communication with the stylus database and wipes its data of loaded stylus until the stylus change routine is 100% complete.
