Radius point vector

I'm trying to do a radius point measurement but the entry vector of the probe is incorrect and I can't change it? It should come in from a 45 degree (red line) but instead it came down and left (green line).

The i,j,k values determine the angle of the point vector. Change them to the sine/cosine of the angle you want. For 45 deg that would be .707106781 for both. One of the 3 will be 0, depending on your alignment and orientation. Try the sine in the i and k values and 0 in the j value if you're probing parallel to the X axis. It could be a negative or positive, depending on your approach. For radius points on cones like this, I create one point at an alignment axis so that 1 of the i,j,k values will be 0, then copy and rotate them around the axis. Once your off axis all 3 fields will be different and it get tedious calculating them.

It turned out Calypso see the the feature as an outside Torus and when I picked subsidiary radius it showed as an outside radius. Toggled from inside to outside feature fixed the vector issue.

Thinh, What is the end result that you are looking for? I don't think this approach is getting what you think it's getting.

When I use points like the OP is suggesting, I create Alignments.
Once the point is set to the alignment and the result is what you want, you can either keep the alignment or set the feature to a preferred alignment which will automatically calculate vectors.
