intersection between cone and torus

Hi,

I 've to mesure the Ø8.5 and Ø37, wich are intersection between cone and torus, what calypso doesn't do.
for the Ø8.5 i've made intersection between circle and line, several times, and recal them into a circle, that's ok (theoricaly OK i've not mesure the part yet)

and for the Ø37, calypso doesn't want the intersection between line and circle (no result)
Any idea to mesure the Ø37 ? 3726_e0f26dd34ab9a3752f9788446de825b8.jpg

Though I'm not prepared to provide an solution to your application, technically, this is a tangency, not an intersection, which is why you're having a problem. It is not a good way for the engineer to define the geometry.

3 point line on the cone and a 5 point circle on the taurus.
Message the nominals so that everything is lined up straight
Intersect the 2 and you got a radius.

Do it 2 times across and you have a 2 point diameter.

It really is a terrible way to define a feature. I think Engineers should be required to work on the floor before being given the keys to solidworks as a designer.
Sealing surfaces are nothing new in the world. that's no excuse for making overly complicated geometry.

I see my mistake, when i manage the nominal of the line to X=0 and angle X/Y=0, the line doesn't fit the step any more. I do this more clean, and the intersections was ok theoricaly.

but when I controled the part, calypso doesn't want any intersection. So I made space point to validate the part, I should be ok for our customer.
