[Th...]
I'm trying to get intersection of ID wall (line) and Torus (radius) using curve and then recall as line and radius for kink point. Zeiss can't calculate. Any other method to get this measurement? Intersection of line and radius won't work either.kink point.png

Calypso just needs the Nominal Geometry of the Line and Circle, so in your section cut, extract those two features, and convert them to theoretical geometries. Make sure the vector of the line is correct. You might have to play around with the order - sometimes you have to put the Line as Feature 1, and the Circle and Feature 2, and sometimes you have to do the inverse of that. If all of that still fails you, you can overscan a 2d line across the edge, turn of outlier elimination, and use Step Point.
[Ke...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I do a lot of this type of measurements, and sometimes the Kink Point works great, and sometimes it doesn't... When it does not work properly, I zoom in so that I can see the actuals that were taken. 9 times out of 10, the features are blended, so that the actual conecting elements are two straight lines, instead of 1 line & 1 circle. In that case, I just extract the points as straight lines, and create an intersection from those. Now, I'm typically doing benchmarks, so I'm only measuring one part; so this may not be the best method for you if you are measuring multiple parts, and the production method is not repeatable.
