FFS does not show all atuals, rejects far points, and only shows points near CAD nominal in Calypso 2018

Hi,

We've been having this problem with Free Form Surface actuals, that actual points being a little bit far off from CAD nominal will not be considered and filtered out by Calypso. For example, we have an aluminum part as a calibration reference workpiece measured in 2020 with all actual points showing, but now measured again there are missing points in CAD Presentation. This misrepresents the min and max Profiles, and makes the CAD Presentation questionable. We think the cause might be from software updates (current version is Calypso 2018 6.6.28 [12.12.2019]). Is this something that only occurs in 2018 version, or does it also occur in newer versions? Our temporary solution is to replace FFS profiles with space point distances, but we are looking for help with this problem.

At first glance, this appears that it may have something to do with your filtering or outlier settings.
I would recommend investigating those settings, and if need be reaching out to the Zeiss Helpdesk for further assistance.
