[Ri...]
IMO Calypso seems to have issues with STEP (stp) models from v2019 to present. I have models Calypso wont even load, it goes thru the process but nothing is displayed, once this happens I have to shut down Calypso and restart. One trick I found that seems to help, but not always, is the version of the CAD file. Once it is loaded in Calypso save a copy to "sab or sat version 14 format" (I think that's as far back in versions calypso allows). Then try loading that version. [Ka...]
Hi, Similar issues here. Quite better handling with newest CALYPSO version 7.4.04. Check the memory usage. There are some memory leaks ( especial if you using planner ) which lead to heavy memory swap if the border of 2.75GB for the process is nearby reached. If this happens the process will slow down extremely ( or crash.. ) Check "vwnt.exe" and "Acis32 calypso" processes Other solution I often used is to move the STEP file to an other path (local) and try to load it again. Sometimes this helps. Take care that there are no "German Umlaute" or other extra characters are inside the path. Regards Karsten
[Er...]
The same will happen to me if I import off of the server. I always import from the desktop.
[Je...]
These steps will help; Set your priority level for VWNT and ACIS## to "High". Ensure your Nvidia environment settings are set to "3D Motion Builder Compatible". Follow the steps detailed in this US Portal Knowledge Base article https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base ... id=1596796 Load CAD model from a local drive - not a network location. If you have trouble on one PC but another works better (maybe a more powerful GFX card), load in a program on that PC, save the CAD file as an SAB and that will import easily into your alternate Calypso installation. (I often grab an Z840 workstation to convert 600mb+ STEP files then save the SAB to load on my laptop workstation)
