7.4 New Contura Auto Run

What do you do if .arn was overwritten by a part program? Auto Run is not keeping the Layers we are having to open the program folder every time. I suspect the .arn was overwritten could be causing this. The only one I see is in inspection folder. Hopefully there is another place, and this is not the issue. If it is not, I am at a loss for why the Layer drop down is not working. This is on a brand new Contura.

Hey Jimmy.

Do you have file history turned on in Windows on the drive that stores this .arn file? If so, you may be able to restore a previous version of it.

There are probably other solutions as well, but that may be one option.

Hey Jimmy.

It sounds plausible that something related to the autorun file was changed, but without more information, I cannot confirm this. You may want to assess the importance of getting this .arn file to do what it did previously. You may want to rule out the possibility of manually fixing it, which would involve contacting Zeiss support, or if you are fairly certain that it was overwritten, you could assess whether it's more feasible to recreate the .arn routine from scratch. Otherwise, there is third-party restore software that can recover lost data, even when file history was not enabled, but this is a more involved process and is not assured to be successful.

It is important enough that I just now put a ticket in with Zeiss. Thank you for your help.
