Trying to measure a distance from a ground critical angle to a theoretical 45 degree angle through a hole on the Datum line but not able to do that. Can someone shed a light on how to measure the "X" value on the attached ? The holes are through holes, I can establish the datum but cannot find a tool to construct a 45 degree line from the datum, through the blue circle .

Construct what circle to what line?
I have a similar part where they want to create a 90° theoretical angle from a line that's created off 2 circles on X axis.
Doing what you said creates a perpendicular angle on the Z axis instead of the Y axis.

I am sure there is a better way, but I think you could create an alignment using the circle and datum, then in that alignment, special, rotate it 45 degrees. Recall feature points into a new feature and change the alignment of the new feature from base to you new alignment. Then, you and check the Y value of that feature. You could use result element abs() to to change it from negative to positive.

Here's an idea.
For an average value...
In the theoterical 45 degree line, use the actual X and Y values of the circle for the line.
Create a point recalling the points from the measured surface.
Cartesian distance from point to line.

Alternatively, other points could recall points from the ends of the measured surface to get min and max.
