XTR Error

Yesterday, I went to a customer who wanted to activate the adapter plate ID on their XTR machine. Everything went ok until I manually loaded a traditional VAST adapter plate. I kept getting the attached error. I tried resetting the ID and got a message below. Anyway, when I tried storing the adapter plate in the rack, the error would keep reappearing.

I suspected something was off with the way I was orienting the stylus system in the sensor and so I re-loading it with a random orientation. When I tried storing it in the rack, it actual started putting it away. I stopped it from continuing because I didn't want it loading into the rack in the rotated position. (what was the chance of picking the right angle to make it work?)

Anyway, I am curious if any of you XTR users know what the fix is. When I get to the customer's facility this morning, I will update this post with a picture of the message I mentioned in the first paragraph.

TIA

It is normal to see that prompt when teaching an MT plate.

For your other errors though, it is possible that the gold contact fingers that contact the ID chip might be damaged though. Look under the head (without a plate attached) and see if any of them are stuck up into the head. You should be able to freely push them up into the head
