[Mi...]
Have a part that i need to measure both top and bottom. I have to flip the part over, remount, measure etc... I want the cad to be available to me when I do the bottom portion. Can you have 2 models one for each side in the prg? If not, any tricks on how to get me to where I need to be??? [Ma...]
Depends on how you mount part to fixture. You can load second model and rotate it, but if you are using free form, then you have to use model repair ( then it will act as one model ). I've done this with fixture, but you can use manual scan of features from secondary ( flipped ) alignment.
[Ma...]
Yes that is no problem, i have programs with up to 10 CAD files in it. Just open the CAD model in a diffrent program and align/rotate it as you want to have it, then save the CAD and inport it into you program. You can also manipulate the secondary models independantly once imported using Modify CAD model>Edit Body>Positioning. I use this often when importing Vee block or fixture models to orient them correctly.
