Calypso 2022 ICONS

I just learned something new today. This should make me the most popular guy for Friday February 17th....

If you have the latest service pack of CALYPSO 2022 (7.4.04), you can change icons back to the “classic” icons by pressing F5, then typing uoi (use original icons):

One caveat to this method, it is yet unconfirmed as I haven't tested it (and the reason I hadn't posted it), you need an older version of CALYPSO installed. From what I can see, the F5 function changes the directory for the icons location to an older CALYPSO installation. So this may not be an end-all solution for everyone.

If someone would be so kind as to test if they only have a single 7.4.04 install, that would be helpful.

The alternate method I posted the other day (that you can access through the US Portal KB) supplies the pictures folder in the event you do not have a previous version and instructs on how to implement.

Definetly a good find, and thank you Zeiss for adding this.

Is this supposed to be a hidden feature ?

Next question is, is there a code to revert back to new icons ?

"uni" ?

Great find !

You probably aren't too far off with that one. There's couple of guys in blue lab coats coming down the hall to my office.

I thought that command was Alt+F4.

Do not hit Alt +F4, it just closes the current window you have open.
Old mean internet trick from my days on the forums of the late 90's - early 00's.
When someone would complain about something, you tell them that Alt+F4 would fix that issue, then 10 seconds later you would see their name "Has left the room".

It will revert after you close Calypso and reopen.

I noticed that it doesn't change all of the icons. Leaves you with a 50/50 Hybrid.

What this really means is we can create our own Icons and use them as long as the names match?
This could get interesting seeing a report with nothing but my headshot for icons.

It is working in our spectrum and new contura, but in our O inspect it doesn't work... Same versions ..
O inspect has older version installed 2021 in addition to 2022 version..

Thank you for the feedback. I also had a chance to test myself. The F5+uoi function call requires the 7.4.04 Service Pack as well as a previous version of 7.2.## installed. All other versions prior to 7.2 tested (back to 6.4) had no effect.

Yes, in fact you should have been able to use custom icons in the past as well.. I have anyway..

provided you had amin access to C drive just copy paste edit rename, etc.

I think I once trimmed all the FCF boxes .. because .. idk .. OCD ? ... 😃
