[Lo...]
Hello everyone, I am trying to inspect a gear horizontally instead of vertically in the RT. I have my base alignment set in Calypso and saved. When I am setting Gear Pro with the saved alignment it still shows the gearing vertically on Z axis instead of X Axis. What am I missing here? I attached a picture for reference. Thanks, LouCapture.PNG
[Ow...]
I run into this a while back.

[Ch...]
can confirm - Owen nailed it. Must rotate gear space axis so it is along the "Z" axis in Calypso alignment. be careful with probe changes in this orientation as well. Horizontal inspection can be done but it is always more difficult. Good luck.
[Lo...]
Ok, so I gave it a try and was able to get my alignment correct. I setup the correct probes but it is driving through the part. I tried different Feed-In settings but it is still doing the same thing. I attached a few pictures to show what it is doing. Thanks, LouIMG_0141.JPGCapture1.PNG
[Ch...]
Lou, things to check and expirement with (slowly of course), check Gear has proper rotated alignment, confirm proper Clearance plane in Calypso. check it is using the proper stylus #, check gear pro also has proper stylus # check feed in from Gear Pro, it may need to be +Z, I dont recall. the intdended stylus is long enough to reach the middle of the face width (and entire face wdith for lead measurement) without hitting the black extension, correct ? check feed in height in gear pro should be center face width or perhaps top of spline.
