Changed Strategy

I have a simple rectangular part that they want flatness checked on. There is no need for a CAD model. For my alignment, I probed 3 planes with 3 points on each plane. I just probed 3 points and a plane feature was created. When I went to run the part, all 3 planes had a polyline in them instead of my 3 points. That's nice I guess but how do I deactivate this option? I don't want my strategies being changed. I may have default strategies set to a polyline but I thought that was if you extract a feature from a model. Do I have to disable default strategies to prevent this? I did some experimenting. I probe 3 points, a plane is created, and I clicked ok. I opened it back up, looked in the strategy, and there is nothing. I closed it and opened it up again and there is a polyline. How do I keep my 3 points?

Software is working normally. The three points you probed simply tell Calypso that you are in fact defining a plane. The default strategy is then applied.

If you want to run the three points automatically you will need to change your strategy to the three points. Else, you can set the base alignment to be manually measured only or you can change the MAN/CNC to MAN for each plane in the Measurement Plan Editor.

If you like it the polyline for your models, save the currents settings profile as "CAD". Then, disable the plane strategy and save that strategy profile as "No CAD" or something that you can remember.

Then when you start a new program, select which strategy you want to use.
