As long as they didnt use anything new from 7.0 in the program that 6.6 doesnt have

Open the program directory, there is a file called "version"

Edit that file with a text editor, and change the version number to match yours.

Hello Rick,

no, this setting is not a magic tool for "forward compatibility".

The only thing this setting does is as follows:

Run the measurement plan as if it was running on [insert version].

Hope this helps

no i didnt.. at least not yet. mostly because i need a solution to be able to swap all of our programs, and that seemed time consuming for close to 100 programs and counting.
After reading replies, does the software we would be saving it to ( ie' 5.8 2014) have to be installed on the same machine that the ver 2021 is on ? i just went thru the drop downs and saved program to a flash drive ... then moved to machine that had 2014 and tries to open it.
