[Ca...]
Is there a way to compare the actual material thickness to the nominal wall thickness for a variable wall part? I can create a wall thickness surface for a given element, but I would like to see how the wall thickness deviates from nominal. The only option I can see to do this uses the tool below. The problem with this method is that it compares the wall section of the part to a set nominal material thickness. This assumes the part has uniform wall thickness over the part. Whereas I need to locally compare the wall thickness of the CAD model to the wall thickness of the actual.
[Na...]
Hello Caleb, after you create the material thickness on your CAD, you can assign the measuring principle "referenced construction" to it. Then use I-Inspect to check the nominal material thickness for "material thickness comparison on actual": BR, Nanno
