[st...]
hi, sorry for the novice question. but i'm very new to curves and freeform let me try and explain as simple as possible. i'm programing on a 3D model i used alot of 3d curves and spacepoint i need to measure surface profile on certain places. my idea was : "freeform surface" ---- "recall feature points" ----- select the spacepoints and/or curves i need now this is where i start scratching my head ; the "actual's" on that freeform come out anywhere from 0.0007 to 2.5mm, where they should be 0.0000.... if i recreate the freeform and measure everything within it , it does come out 0.000 does freeform not preform correctly using recall feature points? [Ma...]
I think from what i've read on forum, that planner gives some results - not just ZERO. But 2,5 is strange. Are you working with model? I have never recalulated curve to FF - I just recalled points and selected face on model if needed. How looks deviations when you turn on graphical evaluation? It should show you where is that big deviation.
[st...]
again, excuse my stupidity 😃 the model is the "perfect" shape so every surface profile i measure should be 0.0000 right?
[Ma...]
If you are simulating measuring then NO you will experience some data NOT zeroes. If you don't have measured data, then your results will be zeroes.
