Profile Troubles

Hello All,

I can't seem to figure out this profile requirement. The print is saying that the profile needs to be within .010 along the centerline..

I interpreted this as finding the centerline of the part, so I went ahead and placed about 40 points on the center, and then recalled them into a line.

It seems as though I can't use a line in the profile characteristic so my next thought was to recall the line to a plane.

It doesn't seem like what I am doing is working, can someone point out what I am missing?

Thanks,
Ryan

If you have freeform, recall the points along the plane (spread them apart in X&Y) into freeform surface for
evaluation. If you don't have FFS measure a plane and I think you can use that in surface profile.

If you want to recall, then you have to recall points - now you only put one point to plane. It should be able to evaluate profile of plane just with this much data ( from 3d line which where recalled single points - better to use 2d lines with touch strategy )
