ACIS

This popped open in Calypso today. I am not sure why or what it even is but it does say something in appropriate. I crossed it out in the attachment. Has anyone else seen this or have any idea of what it is, how it could have gotten there, and how I can get rid of it? I am the only programmer here so it could make me look bad.

Nothing to worry about here. This is what translates your CAD files into the ACIS format that Calypso uses.

You can hide/show this by going to CAD - Settings - System - Show CAD Program

Please sign in to view this quote.

Not only that, it's what makes Calypso CAD-capable in the first place. That window is a message and error log of the CAD core (but be warned: don't care too much about errors displayed here!). But it's also a command line interface! Any proper 'Scheme' command sequence entered here will affect Calypso's CAD window (you may want to try some of the test menu items with an EMPTY measurement plan). You could even create or modify CAD geometry by entering the correct commands.

So never close this window (only hide as described above) or Calypso will die.
