[Mi...]
Features yes. I group by Stylus System name, and put any constructions at the bottom of the relevant group. My programs tend to be at least 100 characteristics for production, but upwards of 500 for layouts, so strict organization is imperative. This is a fairly short, 11 minute production program.(Yes I use start alignments along with PCM to make sure the parts are actually loaded correctly, CMMs are treated like gauges in my facility, zero training before you load and run parts) Characteristics I generally only group the things I might be masking. As if I measured the straightness of a pattern of lines, then reported the Max and/or Min, all the others would get grouped and masked.
[Ch...]
Wow, very nice, looks very similar to how I do it as well.. I usually group characteristics by sheet and views, etc. Helps me to find things a bit easier.
[Mi...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I experimented with something like that, but our current engineers are so picky it's great. They bubble the prints beautifully 1 is the top left corner, then its just left to right in rows. Leaving unused numbers in each view incase things get added. So on any of our new parts I can just keep the characteristic list in numerical order and it's easy to find.
