40 splines ext-major / ext-minor Ø

We have a housing which have 40 splines, must measure ext.-major / ext.-minor, and int- major / minor spline diameters, roundness, concentricity, and runout.
CMM is taking 21 minutes to measure all these callouts. Is there any gauge we can verify all these callouts within 10 minutes?

I'm still not completely clear here. This CAD drawing could be a combo internal/externally splined part (ring). I have seen a few like this. Or it could be either an internal OR external CAD output from Gear Pro.

Either way sounds like you only have 2 splines (possibly mating splines, with 40 spline teeth each).

You should be able to inspect all of these dimension on both splines in 10 minutes.
(I do some contract remote programming - feel free to PM me)
I would suggest not using Gear Pro simply to save time- Although I think it can be done with Gear Pro still under 10 minutes.
Do you need to inspect all 40 teeth on each spline, or is every other tooth ok? (20 Teeth).
I would suggest using sub clearance planes in Calypso, and the appropriate ball to center in the tooth gaps, to 'line up' a gap, etc.

FYI : gages can't check runout directly (runout to what the datums? the gage has no relation to the datums.
In theory a 'concentricity' gage could be made if these spline were in-line on a common axis, etc.
Concentricity is a whole separate topic - simply, yes, can be reported quickly in Calypso.

Good luck, let us know if you need more help.info.

Thanks,
