[Ri...]
I have some large CAD files, upwards of 300mb. Calypso (2021 and or 2019) are SLOW, slow in every aspect. Offline or online, a single point can take upwards of ten seconds to create a feature, and its just a mouse click or physical probing on the model/part. Is there a CAD format that will take some load off Calypso? I'm not having any issues using CAD files in other CAD programs.

[Da...]
Hope this doesn't sound too goofy, but make sure you only have one file open.
[Ch...]
I'd agree with only having one window open at a time. Get a high end graphics card, make sure to set it to Autodesk motion builder - compatiable. And if you are working with large complex assemblies with lot of nuts/bolts/washers and other unnecessary internals, etc - learn how to export a simplified CAD model in NX / Solidworks, or your favorite 3D CAD program. I've noticed huge improvements only working with the shell of an assembly vs. the whole assy model. The whole model will eventually become unuseable - memory leaks and acis crashes. [Ri...]
I already stripped about 50mb of misc tooling from the assembly. I need what I have for avoidance while programming offline.
[No...]
I don't think the CAD format is your problem: Every format you load ends up as a SAB/SAT model. That's what all the import options do. Just make sure not to import unneccesary layers. I don't mean washers etc, but design surfaces, invisible stuff and the like. If all that has been optimized, it's mostly a matter of the graphics card and Calypso's efficiency. I can't rmember having much problems when just touching a point, but I've waited for hours for the simulation to chew through a seemingly simple part.
